About The Role
Runcorn State High School is seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Cleaner to join our facilities team. This is a split-shift role, with working hours from 5:00am to 9:00am and 2:00pm to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. This schedule ensures our school remains clean, safe, and presentable before and after students and staff are on site. Your Responsibilities
As the Cleaner, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Perform daily cleaning of classrooms, bathrooms, offices, and communal spaces.
* Ensure facilities are clean, hygienic, and ready for use at the start and end of each day.
* Report any maintenance issues or hazards and follow WHS procedures.
* Secure school buildings as required during early morning or evening shifts.
Highly Desirable Skills And Experiences
Highly desirable but not mandatory skills and experience for this role are:
* Proven experience in a commercial or school cleaning environment.
* Ability to work split shifts reliably and independently.
* Sound knowledge of safe cleaning practices and chemical handling.
* Familiarity with Department of Education cleaning standards.
* Experience using industrial cleaning equipment.
* Confidence working independently with minimal supervision.
