Yindjibarndi Nation Limited (YNL) is seeking a dynamic and committed leader to join our team as Manager – Community Engagement. Based in the Pilbara, this role is central to strengthening relationships with the Yindjibarndi community through culturally informed, transparent, and multiplatform communication and engagement. You will lead the design and implementation of YNL's community engagement and communications strategy, ensuring that Yindjibarndi voices are heard and reflected in the Nation's programs and priorities. The role also focuses on liaising with key stakeholders across YNL's Strategic 3C model—Community, Culture, and Commercial—to support alignment and shared outcomes
This is a unique hands-on leadership role for someone ready to live, lead, and make a difference.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver a comprehensive community engagement and communications strategy that reflects Yindjibarndi priorities, values, and aspirations.
* Lead the implementation of YNL's Social Impact Framework, including the Theory of Change, Program Logic, and Census projects, ensuring outcomes are effectively delivered, measured, and communicated back to the community and key stakeholders
* Collaborate with sister entities to develop and produce high-quality communications content, including newsletters, social media engagement and audio-visual community updates.
* Engage directly with Yindjibarndi community members to ensure their voices provide strategic input into YNL projects, ensuring initiatives maintain cultural integrity and are addressing community needs.
* Coordinate and strengthen stakeholder relationships across the 3C model organisations —Community, Culture, Commercial as well as their partners —to support aligned development and outcomes.
* Support internal capability by embedding best-practice community engagement processes across YNL teams and projects.
About You
* You are a strong communicator and relationship-builder, passionate about working with Traditional Owner communities.
* You bring experience in community engagement, stakeholder liaison, and theory of change, with a deep respect for cultural protocols and values.
* You're confident navigating community, cultural, and commercial spaces, and have a strong interest in social impact—particularly in driving the implementation of practices that measure and communicate real outcomes for community.
* You are proactive, collaborative, and outcomes-driven.
* Experience working with Traditional Owners organisations or in regional settings is essential.
* Capability in branding and marketing would be highly regarded to support clear and engaging communications.
