What You'll Be Doing
As an Assistant in Midwifery, you'll work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Midwife/Nurse to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care to mothers and babies. You'll play an important role in supporting daily care needs and contributing to positive patient experiences.
* Assist with activities of daily living to promote comfort and independence
* Support the maternity team in providing high-quality care to women and newborns
* Recognise and promptly report changes in a patient's condition to the supervising midwife/nurse
* Maintain accurate documentation in line with NSW Health standards
* Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and respectful team culture

Selection Criteria
* Current enrolment in a Bachelor of Midwifery (second year or thereafter).
* Demonstrated clinical work experience in midwifery or clinical placement experience.
* Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.
* Demonstrated effective communication skills both written and verbal.
* Commitment to continuing professional development.
* Effective interpersonal skills showing initiative.
