Government Relations and Stakeholder Engagement Executive
This key leadership role focuses on developing a comprehensive government and stakeholder engagement strategy to enhance John Holland's reputation, drive commercial objectives, and foster strong relationships with government stakeholders.
The successful candidate will lead customer research, advise internal stakeholders on government and stakeholder strategy, and manage issues to inform bid strategies and deliver against key priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain effective relationships with government stakeholders on behalf of John Holland.
* Represent John Holland to build its reputation within government and other customers as a high-performing and trusted delivery partner.
* Provide strategic advice to the CEO and senior leaders on engagement, advocacy, and issues management.
* Develop high-quality policy papers and submissions to government and industry associations.
* Advocate and influence government policy and decision-making regarding projects and industry issues.
* Coordinate CEO and ELT engagement with political stakeholders and key customers.
* Manage customer research activities generating actionable insights for strategic decision-making and enhanced customer experience.
* Act as a key contact and conduit for industry associations to manage John Holland's relationship and influence the strategic agenda.
* Work closely with business units to provide strategic advice and input from government policy and drivers to support key strategies, bids, and work winning targets.
* Support integrated stakeholder and communications strategies to enhance and protect John Holland's brand and reputation.
Requirements:
* tertiary qualification in politics, public relations, journalism, stakeholder management, marketing, or a related discipline.
* significant experience providing strategic communications, advocacy, policy, and engagement advice within a State or Federal Minister's office or a senior advisory position within a government agency.
* extensive experience in strategic communications engagement, policy, and advocacy in an industry association, think tank, or public affairs agency.
