Key Responsibilities: Provide proficient nursing/midwifery care and support continuity of care across the surgical unit. Assist the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager with implementing practice changes and improving service delivery. Support team leadership, including supervision, mentoring, and development of staff and students. Contribute to operational management, including rostering, work allocation, performance management, and resource planning. Utilise clinical expertise to assess undiagnosed patients and inform effective care plans. Apply and maintain knowledge of relevant computer systems and software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Sunrise. What We’re Looking For: We’re seeking a motivated, experienced Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years post-registration experience (or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife). You’ll have advanced clinical assessment skills, experience supervising staff and students, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced surgical environment. Strong organisational, communication, and computer skills are essential, along with a commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous professional development. You must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding (or eligible to hold) a current practising certificate.
