Cloud FinOps Services Manager Start Date: 4 July 2025 Length: 12 months 12-month extension Location of work: Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney We are looking for an experienced Cloud Financial Operations (FinOps) Manager to advise and assist in monitoring, analysing and optimising cloud spend. The objective of this role is to enhance cloud cost transparency, optimise cloud spend, and align cloud usage with business goals through provision of dedicated FinOps expertise. Key Responsibilities: Cloud Cost Management & Optimisation: Monitoring and Analysing cloud spending Identifying cost anomalies and trends and providing root cause analysis Recommending appropriate cost optimisation strategies (e.g. rightsizing, reservation purchasing, autoscaling) Input to development of appropriate governance frameworks (including policies and guardrails for cost control) Leading FinOps reviews and cost optimisation workshops with key internal/external stakeholders Budgeting & Forecasting: Working with key directors to create, manage and report on cloud budgets Developing and maintaining cost forecasting models based on usage patterns and business requirements Reporting & Dashboards: Developing and maintaining dashboards using appropriate tools and software Delivering monthly, quarterly and yearly cost and usage reports to key stakeholders Creating and managing baseline cloud cost assessment reports About You: Experience in monitoring and analysing cloud spending: Experience monitoring and Analysing cloud spending and identifying cost anomalies and trends and providing root cause analysis Cost optimisation expertise: Experience recommending appropriate cost optimisation strategies (e.g. rightsizing, reservation purchasing, autoscaling) Governance experience: Experience providing input to development of appropriate governance frameworks (including policies and guardrails for cost control) Strong ability to lead FinOps reviews: Experience leading FinOps reviews and cost optimisation workshops with internal/external stakeholders and working with key directors to create, manage and report on cloud budgets Skilled in creating cost forecast models and dashboards: Experience developing and maintaining cost forecasting models based on usage patterns and business requirements. Experience developing and maintaining dashboards using appropriate tools and software Reporting expertise: Experience delivering monthly, quarterly and yearly cost and usage reports to key stakeholders and creating and managing baseline cloud cost assessment reports Azure Certified: Holding Azure Fundamentals or Azure Solution Architect certification FinOps Certified: Holding Cost Professional certification (AACE, PMP etc) or FinOps Certified (Engineer, Practitioner or Professional) About Araza: Our organisation works with Australia’s largest enterprise and government clients providing project and program teams and resources to ensure success.
