Job Title: Specialist Mental Health Nurse

This position presents an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team at the Mater Mental Health Centre.
We're seeking a passionate professional with a strong interest in mental health nursing, who is eager to learn and contribute to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to individuals living with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a commitment to providing compassionate and person-centred care.
* Deliver comprehensive assessments, care coordination, and centre-based group programs.
* Implement evidence-based interventions informed by integrated treatment, stages of change, and motivational interviewing techniques.
* Support community-based care through group facilitation, psychoeducation, relapse prevention, reviews, and liaison with support services.
* Conduct in-reach assessments within the Mater inpatient units, contribute to Antabuse treatment programs, and deliver the Get Well Stay Well program.
* Participate in consultation, education, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives.
Essential Requirements:
* Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
* Eligibility to drive in NSW, with a willingness to travel as required.
* Strong interest or experience in mental health nursing.
