We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our Finance team, providing accounting support across LKQ UK legal entities and standalone reporting divisions. Key Responsibilities
Support month-end close activities, including postings, variance analysis, and preparation of management account packs
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
Prepare monthly accounts for small subsidiary entities and standalone divisions, including intercompany reconciliation and elimination submissions to support group consolidation
Reconcile intercompany accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
Prepare statutory financial statements under FRS 102 and support external audit requests to tight deadlines
Contribute to group disclosure packs and financial reporting requirements
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant laws, supporting a robust internal control environment
Support the tax team with transfer pricing arrangements and intercompany loan agreements
Actively identify and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within intercompany and financial reporting processes
Provide day-to-day support to the Financial Reporting Manager
Deliver ad hoc financial support as required by the business
Skills and Experience
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
Proven experience preparing a full set of management accounts for a legal entity under FRS 102
Strong experience supporting external audits and responding to audit queries within tight timelines
Able to manage end-to-end intercompany accounting transactions
Strong analytical skills with a solution-focused mindset
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting multiple deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with non-finance stakeholders
Able to work independently, use initiative, and manage competing priorities
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach
