Our firm seeks a **Benefit Accounting Officer** to manage daily production and authorization of system and manual payments across all administered funds, oversee EFT/IMT payment transmission, and ensure compliance with internal and external service level agreements.

Responsibilities
* Authorize system and manual payments.
* Reconcile admin cashbooks and End‐of‐Day reports with Oracle disbursement reports; investigate and resolve errors.
* Authorize and transmit daily EFT and IMT payments for all funds, ensuring banking cut‐offs are met.
* Process return monies, stop cheque payments, reversals, voids, and manual payment vouchers; redraw payments as required.
* Create and upload general ledger accounting journals; authorize general ledger journals.
* Respond to complex inquiries from business units.
* Provide training to staff on job responsibilities.
* Maintain and update team procedures and support project work, including end‐to‐end system testing.
Qualifications
* Diploma in Accounting or equivalent; RG146 qualification or willingness to obtain certification highly desirable.
* Experience with SUN GL, Oracle, or Capital systems (useful but not mandatory).
* Experience with Commonwealth Bank, Westpac Bank, Reserve Bank of Australia or similar banking interfaces.
* Prior role handling electronic fund transmission in the financial services industry.
* Strong analytical, numeracy, and problem‐solving skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong time management, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
