We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner for our client's Dinmore Plant near Ipswich on an initial 3-6 month contract, with genuine potential for permanent employment and progression to a Senior Planner position. This is an excellent opportunity to make an immediate impact while supporting an upcoming SAP S4 HANA migration.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and schedule preventative and corrective maintenance activities across fixed plant and mobile equipment
* Manage work orders and maintenance workflows through SAP (ECC)
* Coordinate maintenance activities with operations teams to minimize production downtime
* Ensure compliance with maintenance procedures and safety standards
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and reporting in SAP
* Support the SAP S4 HANA migration project (scheduled April 2026)
* Optimize maintenance workflows and resource allocation
* Drive continuous improvement in maintenance planning processes
About You
To be considered for current and future Maintenance Planning positions, we are looking for the following skills:
* Trade qualification in Fixed Plant or Mobile Equipment desirable
* Strong SAP experience (currently using ECC; S4 HANA knowledge highly desirable) — SAP experience essential
* Proven experience as a Maintenance Planner in industrial/manufacturing environments
* Solid understanding of preventative maintenance (PM) work management processes
* Demonstrated planning and scheduling expertise with minimum 3-5 years' experience
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and translate operational needs into actionable maintenance plans
* Experience in food processing, abattoir, or FMCG environments (desirable)
