About the Business Unit Emergency Management Victoria (EMV), within the Department of Justice and Community Safety, is responsible for the overall coordination of the emergency management system in Victoria. EMV drives the integration of policy, strategy, operational coordination, sector specific technology, and planning across Victoria's emergency management sector, contributing to safer, more resilient communities. About the Role Reporting to the Manager, Grants the Senior Grants Delivery Officer is a key operational and community facing role, working in a dynamic environment. The role will lead the successful delivery of the Community Recovery Officer and Community Recovery Hubs (CRO and Hub) and Community Recovery (CR) grant programs in response to the complexity of community recovery needs following the bushfires commencing 7 January 2026. The role requires a capacity to exercise sound advice, effectively and efficiently with internal and external stakeholders and support a team to deliver the two program objectives and outcomes through to 30 June 2028. Some of your duties will include: Leading the delivery of the CRO and Hubs, and CR programs to deliver the program objectives and outcomes on time. Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach, building and sustaining state-wide relationships and networks within LGAs and Community Organisations, including Community Recovery Groups, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations and Traditional Owner Corporations and Groups. Provide high quality advice and support to stakeholders on matters associated with the CRO and Hubs and CR programs, including accurate reporting on grant progress and outcomes. Proactively identify emerging risks, issues and opportunities for the programs and contribute to the continuous improvement of ERV grant management practices. About you To be successful in this role, you will have: Demonstrated experience in government grant management and administration processes with a client centric focus. Experience in emergency recovery and/or the Commonwealth Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) is desirable. A strong understanding of the processes and levers that apply to government. A current Australian state or territory Driver's Licence is required. Qualifications/requirements A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable.
