We’re partnering with a well-known Australian organisation on the Central Coast to engage a junior–mid level Network Engineer to support a period of network upgrades, switch deployments and infrastructure improvements.
The role is based on the Central Coast, and we are seeking applications from candidates who are currently based in the area.
Key responsibilities:Install, configure and commission network switches (access and core)Perform basic network changes, upgrades and migrationsSupport LAN/WAN environments, including troubleshooting connectivity issuesAssist with patching, cabling, rack-and-stack and onsite deploymentsWork alongside senior engineers on larger network projectsProvide Level 2 support across network and infrastructure issuesDocument configurations and changes clearly
Key skills & experience:Hands-on experience configuring switches (e.g. VLANs, trunking, basic routing)Exposure to enterprise networking environmentsSolid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and networking fundamentalsExperience with vendors such as Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, Fortinet or similarComfortable working onsite and in customer-facing environmentsStrong troubleshooting and communication skills
Nice to have:Entry-level to mid certifications (CCNA or equivalent)Experience with firewalls, Wi-Fi, or cloud networkingMSP or project-based deployment experience
