John Butler Primary College (PC), catering for students from Kindergarten to Year 6, is located in the northern suburb of Butler. Opening in 2014, the college is of a modern and contemporary design, including purpose-built specialist facilities for students with disability, to create a positive and supportive learning environment in which all students can thrive. John Butler PC currently caters for 450 students in the Northern suburbs and is proud to be an inclusive school, with an Education Support Program on site.

The Role
John Butler PC is seeking to appoint a passionate and committed Associate Principal to join our senior leadership team. We are seeking an applicant with extensive knowledge and high performance that would suit the contextual requirements of the school.

The Associate Principal would be responsible for the day to day running of the school's Education Support Unit and will at times be expected to take on the Principal's role. The successful applicant would build partnerships and develop a climate of trust within the school community. Leadership In collaboration with the Principal and other members of the administrative team, the Associate Principal, Education Support, monitors and manages staff leave entitlements to ensure accrued leave is cleared within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with relevant awards, agreements and Departmental policy. They would guide staff in curriculum development and effective use of data to make informed decisions about learning in line with the school's Business Plan, policies and procedures.

Our senior leadership team work together to provide guidance, support, and training across the entire College. We are ideally seeking an effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and experience in supporting staff to develop individualised learning programs to cater for the needs of all students. At the centre of this, will be a firm understanding that the relationships formed with students and staff are key to the ongoing success of the school.
