Overview

This is a 12‐month fixed‐term, full‐time position commencing Term 3, 2026, with possible extension and/or permanency.

The Role

Facilities Resource Coordinator at Applecross Senior High School will coordinate the day‐to‐day operation, maintenance, and safety of the school's facilities, grounds, and amenities, including specialist areas such as the school pool and tennis courts.

Responsibilities

* Coordinate day‐to‐day operations and maintenance of school facilities, grounds and amenities.
* Supervise the Gardener/Handyperson team and support the delivery of grounds services and minor maintenance works.
* Plan and manage planned and reactive maintenance, asset management and lifecycle planning.
* Liaise with contractors and trades, maintain accurate records, maintenance schedules and compliance documentation.
* Assist with budget monitoring, process invoices and support facilities‐related funding submissions.
* Ensure Occupational Health and Safety compliance, building standards, and responsive customer service in facility matters.
* Respond to facilities‐related enquiries and deliver high‐quality customer service.

Qualifications

* Experience coordinating school or commercial facility maintenance, including asset management.
* Experience in supervising staff and team management.
* Knowledge of OHS compliance and building standards.
* Solid written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient computer skills, including spreadsheets and word processing.
* Previous project‐management experience is highly regarded.

Eligibility

* Australian or Current Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or holder of a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.
* Valid Working With Children Check prior to commencing.
* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number.
