Senior Payroll Officer
This is a highly skilled and experienced role that requires strong leadership skills to manage payroll operations, ensure timely and accurate payments, and maintain compliance with all statutory requirements.
The Senior Payroll Officer will play a key part in maintaining strong relationships across the organization, driving continuous improvement in systems and processes, and delivering exceptional customer service to employees and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process end-to-end payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments, reporting, and compliance with all statutory requirements.
* Maintain and update payroll systems and employee data, including letters of employment and earnings, while supporting year-end and audit processes.
* Provide exceptional customer service and payroll support to employees and key stakeholders across the organization.
* Identify, communicate, and resolve payroll issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, assist with payroll-related projects, and support the Payroll Manager in team engagement and stakeholder collaboration.
Requirements
* At least 5 years' experience working in a complex, multiple payroll environment.
* Proven ability to interpret and apply various awards, enterprise agreements, and multi-state payroll legislation.
* A continuous improvement mindset with demonstrated experience implementing business process improvements.
* Proficient with various Payroll & Time Attendance systems.
* Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
* Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information responsibly.
