Your new role
As a Senior Full Stack Software Developer, you'll be part of a dynamic project team working on complex systems that support critical national initiatives. In this team, you'll design and build scalable applications, develop APIs, and contribute to cloud infrastructure using AWS and Terraform. You'll also work with containerised applications in Kubernetes, write accessible web interfaces with React and TypeScript, and help shape CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps tools.
You'll collaborate closely with Business Analysts, QA teams, and other developers to ensure solutions are secure, accessible, and fit for purpose. This is a hands-on role where your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will be key to delivering high-quality outcomes.
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you'll bring:
* Strong experience building APIs using languages like Golang and JavaScript/TypeScript, with REST and GraphQL.
* Solid knowledge of AWS infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
* Experience with containerisation (Docker, Helm) and Kubernetes.
* Proficiency in developing accessible web applications using React and TypeScript.
* Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (GitHub/GitLab, Artifactory, HashiCorp Vault).
* A collaborative mindset and ability to work across the full software development lifecycle.
* Australian citizenship (mandatory for this role) with a preference for Baseline or NV1 clearance.
* Bonus points if you have experience with mobile app development (React Native), database administration (Postgres/MySQL), and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1).
