We are seeking a dedicated individual to support the education of students with special needs. As an Education Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to promote inclusive learning environments and assist in the delivery of educational programs.
Main Responsibilities
* Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
* Provide support to students with special needs, promoting their academic, social, emotional, and physical growth.
* Assist in the preparation and presentation of educational materials, adapting to the needs of students.
* Participate in the evaluation process, providing feedback on educational programs and contributing to the achievement of goals.
Requirements
* Demonstrate adaptability, open-mindedness, and a willingness to learn.
* Show comfort working as part of a team, with students, or individually.
* Possess effective written and oral communication skills, including report writing.
* Display strong interpersonal skills, contributing to a professional team environment.
* Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of health and physical disabilities in students and adolescents.
Eligibility
* Hold Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid visa with relevant work rights.
* OBTAIN a valid Working With Children Check prior to commencement.
* Consent to a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.
