Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced EL1 Commercial Specialist to lead high‐value procurement, contract management and commercial advisory functions across major national programs. This role is ideal for a commercially astute professional who thrives in complex government environments and wants to deliver meaningful, high‐impact outcomes. This 12‐month labour hire engagement offers excellent exposure to senior stakeholders, strategic procurement activities, and high‐profile initiatives shaping government service delivery.
What You'll Be Doing
* Strategic Commercial Advice & Contract Management
* Provide high‐level commercial, contractual and negotiation advice.
* Draft, review and negotiate contract terms and conditions.
* Ensure compliance with the CPRs, PGPA Act, AAIs and internal frameworks.
* Partner with stakeholders to define requirements, deliverables and pricing structures.
* Manage vendor performance, risks, issues, variations, extensions and transitions.
* Procurement Strategy & Delivery
* Develop procurement strategies aligned with program needs.
* Conduct market research and supplier analysis.
* Lead end‐to‐end procurement processes in line with CPRs and governance requirements.
* Utilise BuyICT, Digital Marketplace and other digital sourcing pathways.
What We're Looking For
* Technical Skills & Experience
* Strong understanding of CPRs, PGPA Act, AAIs and WofG arrangements.
* Experience with ICT sourcing, BuyICT, Digital Marketplace or similar pathways.
* Proven negotiation, options analysis and probity capability.
* Demonstrated contract management experience, including KPIs, performance, variations and contract transitions.
* Leadership & Collaboration
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
* Ability to coach and support colleagues in procurement best practice.
Qualifications
Essential
* 5+ years' experience in public‐sector procurement and contracting.
* Proven delivery of complex procurements within CPR/PGPA frameworks.
Desirable
* Degree in Business, Law, Commerce or a related discipline.
* Experience with ICT procurement channels.
Eligibility
* Must be an Australian citizen.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline / NV1 / NV2 security clearance.

Casual Loading
