This role will suit someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work, and is looking to further develop their accounting and administration skills.
Job Description
Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a key part in the day-to-day financial operations of the business. Your responsibilities will be broad and hands-on, including:
* Supervising day-to-day accounting functions and providing guidance to junior team members
* Managing trust accounts, term deposits and preparing audit requirements
* Overseeing reconciliations, reporting, and creditor payments
* Ensuring compliance with trust account rules, financial regulations, and internal policies
* Supporting audits and financial reviews with external auditors
* Driving process improvements, automation, and system optimisation to increase efficiency
* Providing financial support across multiple offices
* Acting as a trusted advisor to leadership and contributing to strategic initiatives
The Successful Applicant
We are seeking a candidate with:
* Previous accounting experience within the legal sector (essential)
* Knowledge of trust account rules and compliance requirements
* Familiarity with practice management systems or similar
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
