Providing essential water and wastewater services to over 1.7 million South Australians, SA Water is South Australia’s sole water and sewerage provider and a major employer, which has a key impact on the economy, environment and wellbeing of the state. Operating in a geographically and climatically diverse service area, SA Water has sites and locations from Ceduna through to Port Augusta, the APY Lands, Riverland and down to Mount Gambier, and most places in between. SA Water are entering an exciting period of growth for the workforce of the future, and have an opportunity for a Senior Manager Corporate Governance, Risk and Resilience to join the team and contribute to the overall success of the organisation and the State.
Reporting to the Executive General Manager People, Safety & Governance, the Senior Manager Corporate Governance, Risk & Resilience will work collaboratively across the organisation to achieve functional excellence. Key responsibilities will include the following:-
· Develop, implement and remain focused on the continuous improvement of relevant frameworks and processes, including governance, risk, audit and assurance.
· Grow and lead a team of functional experts.
· Lead the continuous improvement of corporate governance practices.
· Lead the implementation and maturity of SA Water’s resilience program through the business continuity framework and the Major Incident Management System.
· Lead the coordination of the organisational compliance with the SoCI Act 2018.
· Ensure SA Water fulfils its responsibilities in accordance with the State Emergency Management Plan.
· Provide business advisory services within SA Water.
To be successful in this role, you will be a proven strategic leader with extensive understanding of risk management, and a high degree of experience with corporate governance. You will possess excellent written communication skills and the ability to structure and articulate complex information for a wide-ranging audience, including SA Water Executive and Board members. You will also have engaging interpersonal skills to enable establishment and maintenance of positive relationships with a breadth of internal and external stakeholders. You will possess relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting, economics, business management or related discipline, and be a Member of (or meet the professional requirements to be a member of) the Institute of Internal Auditors of Australia.
