Lutheran Ormeau Rivers District School is known as LORDS. It is part of the Ormeau Lutheran Project, which is a development of the Lutheran Church of Australia, Queensland District, and Alberton Lutheran Parish. LORDS was founded in 2012.
LORDS is a co-educational Kindergarten to Year 12 School on a single, nearly 20-hectare site which includes eight hectares of natural bushland.
The School Council is seeking to appoint a new Principal to continue to build the story of LORDS in the Ormeau/Pimpama community. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Christian educator to help shape the dynamic future of LORDS.
The commencement date for the appointment in 2026 will be agreed upon through negotiation.
The essential foundation on which LORDS is established is the love of God through his son, Jesus Christ. The School intends that everything planned and implemented reflects this great love of God and His many blessings.
The School's focus is on every child and every family. LORDS is a school that grows partnerships with families in ways that are meaningful and supportive of young people and their gifts, talents, and interests.
The School's spacious learning environments are air-conditioned and fitted with large screen Apple touch TVs along with agile Learning furniture to create and sustain classrooms that encourage growth mindsets and support Project-Based Learning.
LORDS has an exciting building program that mirrors the growing enrolment numbers. The latest building project was another Junior School Building, which was completed at the end of 2024.
The School is eagerly looking forward to their next project, which will convert the Covered Outdoor Learning Area to an enclosed Multi Purpose Centre used for sporting, cultural, and whole school events.
The School Council is about to release the new strategic direction for the period with a focus on innovative practices to enhance learning and teaching with a sustainable and community-focused approach.
