Role Overview
The Senior Sales Engineer is a key contributor to the company's sales growth, facilitating collaboration between Account Executives and prospects throughout the sales process.
This role requires a high degree of creativity and latitude to educate prospects on Commerce solutions, conduct needs analysis, and provide pre-sales technical consulting.
Main Responsibilities:
* Educate prospects on Commerce suite of brands through consultative best practices approach
* Conduct needs analysis and technical scoping sessions with prospective customers
* Differentiate Commerce solutions in the marketplace
* Provide pre-sales technical consulting to Sales staff
* Document customer questions and ensure follow-up on outstanding issues
* Become a trusted advisor to Sales and Marketing teams
* Support partner ecosystem in developing custom solutions
* Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Client Services, and Marketing teams
* Lead initiatives to facilitate smoother sales cycles and higher win rates
Requirements:
* 5+ years of Sales/Solutions Engineering experience in a relevant market
* BA/BS in technology or equivalent experience required
* Strong knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSON
* Consultative presentation skills for C-level business executives and detailed discussions with technical audiences
* Experience with commerce solutions and applications
* Sales methodology and Solution selling training a plus
* Charismatic self-starting personality
* Ability to collaborate and motivate multiple groups
* Experienced in solution architecting, project scoping, and product demonstration skills
