Our dynamic Haematology Clinical Trials Unit (HCTU) at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) is seeking a motivated, organised team player – with healthcare and clinical trial experience - to join our dedicated and growing team at a leading WA Hospital.
This is for a fixed term 6-month full time appointment, with possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
What is our Senior Clinical Trials Coordinator role?
The Senior Clinical Trials Coordinator is responsible for the education, professional development and daily supervision of one of three haematology disease-specific clinical trials teams. The role plays a key part in ensuring smooth support for trial participants and in overseeing the effective and efficient delivery of clinical trials.
The SCGH HCTU manages a broad portfolio of industry-sponsored and collaborative trials for patients with blood cancers, ranging from Phase l first-in-human studies to Phase lll randomised trials. In this position you will contribute to the coordination and implementation of these studies, including the preparation of new trial submissions and ongoing amendments.
The role requires building and maintaining strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including nursing staff, clinicians, Human Research Ethics Committees (HRECs), Contract Research Organisations, NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre, national and international clinical trial groups, and trial sponsors such as pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
Applicants will be required to fulfil a roster that covers operational hours between 7.45am to 4.15pm from Monday to Friday.
