Our team is seeking a skilled Train Manager to oversee train readiness and availability for testing activities.
The successful candidate will lead EHS management during dynamic tests on public infrastructure, act as the single point of contact for test drivers during certification tests, coordinate onboard personnel, and conduct safety briefings.
They will also support failure reporting, test documentation, and troubleshooting, as well as oversee static test activities and ensure risk controls are applied.
About This Role
This is a critical position that requires strong coordination and decision-making abilities, expertise in troubleshooting, instrumentation, and data acquisition, and knowledge in specific testing domains such as EMC, Brake, Traction, and Train Control.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a Test Technician or Engineer, a strong understanding of Australian EHS and Rolling Stock safety laws, and A-grade electrician certification.
Your Skills and Qualifications
* Test Technician/Engineer Experience: We're looking for someone with hands-on experience in testing or validation, preferably in an on-field setting.
* Australian EHS Laws: You should have a solid understanding of EHS regulations and their application in rolling stock safety.
* A-Grade Electrician Certification: This is a must-have for our Train Manager role.
* Troubleshooting and Instrumentation: You'll need expertise in diagnosing issues and working with various instruments and equipment.
* Data Acquisition and Testing Domains: Knowledge of specific testing areas like EMC, Brake, Traction, and Train Control is essential.
