Job Description
The role of a Dietitian Grade 2 Weekends involves delivering high-quality patient care across the continuum of healthcare services.
Maintaining current knowledge and skills in clinical best practices for assigned clinical units is essential for effective service delivery.
Active participation in departmental clinical supervision programs is also required to ensure quality care.
* Assess, treat and manage clients throughout the continuum of care in the most appropriate location based on client needs.
* Provide timely and effective clinical management to all patients through assessment, treatment/management, re-evaluation, documentation, team liaison and discharge planning.
* Establish strong working relationships with relevant care teams, referral sources and other healthcare providers.
* Contribute to quality improvement and research initiatives as delegated by senior staff.
* Maintain accurate statistics and submit them by the designated time frame.
* Maintain appropriate medical record keeping and data collection according to hospital policies.
Applicants should hold qualifications that provide eligibility for full membership of Dietitians Australia and participate in the APD program. A minimum of two years' post-graduate experience in a relevant field of clinical dietetics is also required.
A highly developed skill set including organisation, time management, planning and problem solving is necessary. Highly developed interpersonal skills with excellent communication and teamwork are also essential for success in this role.
