Role Overview
The Volunteer Workshop Assistant assists directly in the preparation and set up of wheelchairs and other mobility equipment. Each client has individual ergonomic requirements, and the assistant works closely with workshop staff to modify and tailor devices to meet those needs. The role is suitable for individuals experienced and comfortable using power tools, including engineers, engineering students, tradespeople or those with equipment modification experience.
Schedule
One day per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 1:00pm (4 hours)

* Reliable and punctual attendance
* Demonstrate knowledge and skills to effectively perform required tasks
* Use hand tools and machinery to undertake adjustments and modifications as required
Qualifications & Requirements
* Minimum age 16 years
* NDIS Worker Screening approved
* Working with Children Check (NSW) completed
* Experience with power tools and equipment modification
