Your new role:
As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide advanced, autonomous clinical care to adults and children (over 2 years) with non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses, helping to reduce demand on Emergency Departments and improve access to timely care in the community.
In this role, you will:
* Deliver advanced, autonomous assessment, diagnosis, treatment and referral for low acuity presentations.
* Provide person-centred, trauma-informed care, including women-focused services.
* Prescribe medications and interpret diagnostics within your credentialed scope of practice.
* Coordinate safe patient journeys, including referrals to GPs, Logan Hospital, PAH, QCH and other services.
This is a permanent part-time position (hours flexible), based primarily at the Mt Gravatt Nurse Led Walk In Clinic, with work across Eight Mile Plains Satellite Health Centre and Meadowbrook Health Centre as required.
About you:
You are an experienced, collaborative Nurse Practitioner with a passion for community-based, urgent and primary care. You are confident working autonomously, comfortable with complex decision-making, and committed to leading high-quality, evidence-based nurse-led services.
You will bring:
* Master's-level Nurse Practitioner qualification and minimum 5 years' recent clinical experience in emergency, primary health and/or minor injury and illness.
* Demonstrated advanced assessment, diagnostic, prescribing and clinical decision-making skills for adult and paediatric (>2 years) presentations.
