Lead transformative placemaking and economic development initiatives that bring Randwick's centres, communities and visitor economy to life.
About the Role
* Leading the delivery of Council's Economic Development Strategy through operational planning, budgeting and strategic implementation
* Delivering placemaking initiatives, activations, business engagement programmes and partnerships that support vibrant centres and a thriving night-time economy
* Leading and mentoring a high-performing team focused on economic development and community engagement
* Building strong relationships with businesses, industry stakeholders and government agencies to support economic growth and collaboration
* Managing grant opportunities, project budgets and strategic reporting to support successful program delivery
What You'll Bring
* Tertiary qualifications and demonstrated experience in placemaking, events, economic development, marketing or a related field
* Strong experience delivering placemaking, activation or economic development initiatives within complex stakeholder environments
* A confident and articulate leader who can bring businesses, stakeholders and the community together around a shared vision
* Proven leadership capability with experience developing and motivating multidisciplinary teams
* Strong strategic thinking, project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes
* Understanding of the 24-hour economy, tourism and place-based activation within a local government environment will be highly regarded
