The role
About the role
The core objective for the C&I Billing Analyst is to accurately and timely bill all Momentum C&I customers. This involves managing and correcting system or process exceptions, managing meter data and technical master data, processing bill runs and invoicing customers. The C&I Billing Analyst is also required to manage customer enquiries through billing activities and ensure customers continue to receive accurate and timely energy bills.
Responsibilities
- Generate and validate high‐volume, multi‐rate invoices ensuring strict compliance with contractual terms and regulatory standards
- Investigate and resolve C&I billing disputes such as meter data discrepancies or demand charge errors
- Monitor exceptions and look for patterns or trends as to why exceptions are occurring
- Work collaboratively within the C&I Billing and Operations team and across the Corporation, demonstrating alignment with agreed team behaviours
- Build and maintain successful relationships relevant to the role purpose and contribute to the accomplishment of C&I operations team goals
- Effectively identify and rectify data, invoicing and meter reading anomalies/issues
Effectively escalating any issues with activities to Billing Specialists or relevant parties for investigation.
Qualifications
- Experience working in the Energy industry (ideally C&I)
- Experience working in a Billing or associated type role
- Team Player - always sharing thoughts and ideas with the team
- Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills
- Strong understanding of complex tariffs, demand, embedded networks
- Experience using Atlassian Jira and Confluence
