Role Description
This is a full time, on site Maintenance Technician role based in Brisbane, QLD. The Maintenance Technician will carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and facilities across healthcare, hospitality, and commercial sites. Responsibilities include inspecting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and general building components, performing preventive maintenance, and responding to urgent maintenance requests to minimize downtime. The role will involve troubleshooting equipment issues, coordinating with project managers and site supervisors, and documenting work performed in line with company procedures and safety standards. The Maintenance Technician will also support facility upgrades, liaise with contractors and vendors as required, and ensure all work complies with relevant regulations and site requirements.
Qualifications
* Strong equipment maintenance and maintenance & repair skills for building systems, plant, and facility assets.
* Proficiency in troubleshooting equipment and system issues to identify root causes and recommend effective solutions.
* Experience with preventive maintenance and industrial maintenance practices in commercial or similar environments.
* Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship (e.g. electrical, mechanical, building services, or similar).
* Solid understanding of workplace health and safety requirements, including working in live operational environments.
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and maintenance documentation.
* Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with site teams, clients, and contractors.
* Strong time management, reliability, and a proactive, solutions-focused approach to maintenance tasks.
* Current driver's licence and the ability to travel between sites as required.
* Experience in healthcare, hospitality, or commercial facilities maintenance is highly regarded.
