Your new role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and suitably experienced person for the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO).
This is a Fixed Term Full Time appointment for 5 years.
As part of the Health Support Services (HSS) Executive, the Chief Information Officer is responsible for:
* leading the transformation and modernisation of ICT within HSS and the WA health system, and contributes to the strategic direction and management of HSS;
* leading and managing the ICT Business Unit to provide a WA health system-wide ICT service, which delivers a modern, secure, integrated and user-friendly ICT platform for public health care services in Western Australia;
* leading and transforming WA Health's cyber security vision and strategy to protect digital and physical assets; and
* leading the implementation of a portfolio of critical digital change programs/projects across the WA health system through the application of high-quality leadership, best practice delivery strategy, program design, stakeholder/change management and program governance;
* developing and defining the WA health system's technology priorities and landscape for ICT and information management, including but not limited to the planning of WA health system-wide ICT investments, and the coordination and driving of major ICT programs, and the operation of the WA health system's ICT operation.
