YOUR ROLE
This isn't your average "pulling wire" job. As an Electrical Field Service Technician, you'll be the face of our client on major sites across Darwin and beyond. You will be responsible for the installation, repair, and high-level maintenance of critical infrastructure, including BMS/SCADA systems, switchboards, and automated electrical systems. You'll take ownership of your projects, ensuring equipment reliability and keeping downtime to a minimum for a portfolio of Tier 1 clients.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Total Troubleshooting: Conduct deep-dive fault finding and testing on engineered and automated systems.
* BMS/SCADA Mastery: Install and repair complex control systems in accordance with Australian Standards.
* Project Ownership: Work autonomously to organise and deliver service support based on specific client needs.
* Technical Documentation: Manage your own job cards, wiring diagrams, and electronic site logs.
* Team Leadership: Mentor and guide apprentices and junior technicians on-site to help build the next generation.
About You
You are a results-driven technician who takes genuine pride in the quality of your workmanship. You thrive under pressure, love a technical puzzle, and can communicate clearly, whether you're talking to a site manager or your peers.
Must-haves:
* Electrical Trade Qualification: A-GRADE Electrical License.
* Field Experience: Proven background in maintaining industrial, engineered, or automated electrical systems.
* Safety First: Current "White Card" (CPCCOHS1001A) and a commitment to zero-harm practices.
* Mobility: A valid Australian Driver's License and a willingness to travel to various sites.
* Technical Literacy: Ability to interpret and apply plans, specifications, and wiring diagrams.
NICE to Haves:
* Instrumentation: Certificate III in Electrical Instrumentation.
* Safety Competencies: Current Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets.
* First Aid: Senior First Aid (Apply First Aid) certification.
* Manufacturing Knowledge: Experience in electrical switchboard manufacturing.
