Technical Sales Specialist - Purification & Pharma Analytics (PPA) - BioProduction
Location: South Korea - Seoul - 12F Suseo Office Building, 281 Gwangpyeong-ro
Job Description
The Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) for Purification & Pharma Analytics (PPA) is responsible for sales within an assigned territory.
The role involves managing current business relationships, developing new opportunities, and increasing sales and profitability through sales expertise, product knowledge, and market insights.
This position is based in Korea and requires effective communication with customers through various channels.
The TSS will support the delivery of customer expectations and meet the commercial objectives for the business unit in the designated territory.
Crucial Responsibilities
1. Meet or exceed sales targets for POROS and CaptureSelect by fostering growth and actively seeking new business opportunities within the territory.
2. Develop new business and ensure target customers are aware of Pharma Analytics products, advocating BPG Pharma Analytics' value proposition in the market.
3. Collaborate with customers and product management to forecast and communicate large orders and shipment details.
4. Enhance sales skills through technical and sales training; proactively update Salesforce and Business Plans.
5. Work with sales colleagues representing Thermo’s other BioProduction products, including Gibco Cell Culture Products, Single Use Products, and PCR and Sequencing-based Analytics Products, to expand Thermo’s overall Bioproduction business.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology or equivalent experience, with expertise in molecular biology techniques such as qPCR / RT-PCR, Sanger Sequencing, and process analytics. A Master’s degree is preferred.
* Deep understanding of downstream process analytics and quality control workflows in Bioproduction.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, proficiency in value selling techniques, and capability to sell at organizational levels.
* Ability to work independently with minimal strategic oversight.
Experience
* Minimum of 3+ years of sales experience related to bioproduction processes, specifically targeting molecular biology techniques like qPCR-based methods.
* Validated understanding of customer challenges and solution development.
* Proven success in a customer-facing role.
* Established sales relationships within upstream and downstream processes, with a validated understanding of bioproduction processes.
