Job Description
We are seeking a Land Planning Officer to support our land acquisition processes. The successful candidate will review planning legislation, provide clear advice, and analyze consultant reports to ensure compliance with statutory planning requirements.
The role involves working with internal stakeholders, consultants, and government agencies to make informed decisions about property acquisitions, disposals, and capital works. The officer will also contribute to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural heritage and native title considerations in early land assessments.
Key Responsibilities
* Reviewing planning legislation and land use documents
* Providing clear and well-evidenced planning advice
* Analyzing consultant reports and preparing due diligence documentation

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of public sector planning processes and infrastructure pathways. They should be able to interpret and apply legislation and planning frameworks confidently, and prepare high-quality, technical reports and recommendations.
