As the Duty Manager - Canberra Airport, you will be responsible for the achievement of all delivery KPIs and managing the operational activity of the Airport. In this role, you will ensure all operational processes and procedures are effectively managed and high-quality standards of customer service are maintained. You will also provide team leadership and support to all staff, ensuring training needs are identified and staff development and performance is managed.
You'll have
- Previous experience managing people with the ability to mentor, motivate and resolve conflict
- Highly developed people leadership skills including performance management, coaching, mentoring and development
- Thorough understanding of airport operations
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence and continuous improvement philosophy
- Demonstrated experience in implementing operational, safety, compliance, security and emergency procedures
- Previous experience in the development and implementation of local and/or corporate driven initiatives.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to adapt style to suit the audience
- Understanding of and a desire to support change management processes on a local level
- Knowledge of dispute resolution procedures
- Ability to work under pressure and make cost effective decisions
- Ability to work on a 7-day rotational shift roster
