Maintenance Trainer – Mechanical Rotary Wing
Sikorsky Australia, a Lockheed Martin company, is a leading Defence rotary‑wing support organization. We support aircraft maintenance, repair, overhaul, and training.
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop and implement technical and non‑technical training programmes for customers and employees.
- Obtain information from customers, stakeholders and technical organisations, including engineering, software and product requirements to prepare training programmes, develop course content and determine methodology.
- Manage updated curriculum database and training records.
- Develop annual training plans.
- Design and develop training programmes (outsourced and/or in‑house).
- Conduct organisation‑wide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed.
- Coordinate the development of MH60‑R Type Course and S‑70A‑9 to MH60‑R Differences Course, fully aligned with DASR Part 66 and 147 requirements.
- Monitor and maintain DASA Part 147 Training Programs and courseware.
- Design, prepare and order educational aids and materials.
- Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and KPIs.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with experts regarding instructional design.
- Instructional duties on various courses: MH‑60R Types, Human Factors, Induction.
Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment from a recognised institution.
- Cert IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical).
- Substantial work experience as a trainer.
- Substantial knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation.
- Existing MAML.
- Well‑developed knowledge of DASR 147.
Highly desirable
- MAML with S‑70A‑9 and/or MH60R Category.
Special requirements
Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance, and may be required to travel internationally. A current passport is essential.
