With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.Role description:As a Sustainability Specialist in the Global Sustainability team, you will conduct research, analysis, and propose solutions on various sustainability topics to help advance Global Sustainability Programs in line with external assurance requirements and commercial opportunities. The Sustainability Specialist will report to a Subject Matter Expert within the Global Sustainability Enabling Function.Role accountabilities:Provide technical research and analysis support on sustainability issues, mainly on Nature & Biodiversity.Support development of training content and thought leadership.Lead sustainability outcomes in lighthouse projects through technical leadership and relationship management.Collaborate with in-business stakeholders to leverage commercial opportunities.Prepare reports and updates on program status for management and stakeholders.Create talks and presentations for public engagements.Identify strategic opportunities, survey stakeholders, and advise on business and policy improvements.Support non-financial reporting topics such as CSRD, CSDDD.Lead technical projects from inception to completion within set timelines.Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.Mentor and train junior team members.Provide technical guidance and support to team members.Benchmark against best practices and communicate influence levers.Support bids requiring sustainability responses.Key Shared Accountabilities:Motivate and review team performance.Support program reporting and stakeholder communication.Collaborate with global technical leads.Contribute to training initiatives, sustainability ratings, and reporting.Support stakeholder engagement and risk management.Develop tools to measure and improve sustainability results.Implement technical improvements with cross-functional teams.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s in Nature & Biodiversity-related fields; Master’s preferred.At least 7 years in Sustainability programs.Knowledge of biodiversity assessments, ecological surveys, GIS tools, and restoration techniques is desirable.Familiarity with international biodiversity frameworks (TNFD, Natural Capital Protocol, IBAT, KBA Standards).Understanding of corporate sustainability requirements (CSRD).Ability to work under pressure and with global teams.Strong analytical, research, and report writing skills.Project management experience.Flexibility in work hours due to international scope.Why Arcadis?We empower everyone to contribute and grow, offering meaningful work to create sustainable solutions for a better planet.
