About This Role We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Specialist to join our team.
This role is responsible for sustaining and improving business processes and continuous improvement activities of one of our biggest program.
Key duties include: Analyzing business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement or automation.Facilitating process workshops and documenting information using process maps and business requirements documents.
This also involves implementing changes, managing change, providing training, and liaising with stakeholders.Providing training and coaching to staff, engaging stakeholders, and managing change.Promoting a culture of compliance and continual improvement and supporting the capture and evaluation of trends and ideas for process management.Provide expertise to support process management, modelling and improvement initiatives, including Business Process Management, BMS standardization and optimization, and process improvement methodologies – including LEAN and Six Sigma.A minor aspect of the role will involve overseeing and managing other improvements as prioritized by the leadership team or other contracts.
Our Ideal candidate: 3 to 5 years continuous improvement or similar experience.Ability to motivate individuals and teams across business areas and locations, to gain modelling awareness and utilize appropriate modelling techniques.Ability to use and adapt written and verbal communication skills, to suit a variety of different audiences.Excellent time management skills with an ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer and business requirements, with appropriate stakeholder engagement skill and one team culture.Strong interpersonal, leadership and influence skills.Very good knowledge in CMMI models, Six Sigma, Lean, VSM and specific business operations such as training, engineering and maintenance services.Excellent communication skills and can influence people at all levels of the organization.Must currently hold or be eligible for defence security clearance.Experience in diagnostic approaches and problem-solving techniques to uncover operational improvement initiatives.Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.Holds a driver's license and willing to travel.What CAE offers you: Opportunity to make a positive impact on Australian defence and security.Exciting career paths in a truly global business.Access to a generous ADF Reserve Service Policy.Security requirements As the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible for Baseline level Defence security clearance.
