The Opportunity
HammondCare's Respite Cottages provide short‐term accommodation and individualised support for older guests during stays of up to 10 nights.
As a Specialised Carer, you will play a vital role in delivering personalised care and creating a welcoming, home‐like environment.
Hourly rates: $X to $Y per hour (+ penalties). Shifts include 7:15am, morning, afternoon and night.
Responsibilities
* Provide personal care, including grooming and hygiene.
* Deliver care in accordance with individual care plans.
* Support and care for guests during overnight or extended stays.
* Promote guest dignity and independence through daily activities.
* Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes in care professionally.
What you need to apply
* No formal qualification is necessary, though Certificate III in Individual Support is an advantage.
* First Aid certificate desirable.
* Empathy and compassion are a must.
* Willingness and desire to learn; job training will be provided.
* Good administrative and computer skills, including the use of a smartphone.
* Robust team player who can communicate professionally, complete documentation, and maintain confidentiality.
