Service Manager – Agricultural Machinery
Do you have high standards, a head full of technical knowledge, and a knack for keeping things moving in the workshop?
We're looking for a Service Manager to support our busy agricultural machinery workshop in Kununurra. You'll be the right-hand to our mechanics and the engine behind our service team — preparing jobs, solving problems, and making sure everything's ready to go before the tools hit the floor.
This isn't a typical spanner-spinning job. It's about organisation, preparation, and practical support — helping reduce repair times, managing tools and parts, and making sure everything's set for success.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Preparing jobs before they start: parts, tools, manuals, service notes
Supporting mechanics and apprentices during repairs
Researching technical info to speed up diagnostics and get answers fast
Keeping the workshop clean, tidy, and running like clockwork
Helping plan the service schedules and coordinate with the Parts team
Sharing your knowledge, teaching where you can, and lifting the whole team's game
WHO YOU ARE
A mechanically-minded problem solver — you think three steps ahead
Obsessed with neatness, structure, and doing things right the first time
You take pride in your work — your tools are sharp, your notes are clear, and your bench is clean
You're patient, helpful, and a natural teacher — especially with apprentices
You understand that good records and smart planning are just as important as good tools
You know how to get a job done, even if the plan changes
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Background in ag, diesel, or mechanical trades (qualified or hands-on experience)
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in agricultural, diesel, or mechanical trades
Solid knowledge of tractors and farm equipment – Case IH experience a bonus
Forklift and HR licence (or willing to get them)Strong communication and basic computer skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment
Australian work rights required for this position
WHY JOIN US?
You'll be part of a passionate, capable team in one of Australia's most unique agricultural regions. The workshop is busy, the gear is big, and the standards are high. We back our people and build long-term careers.
