The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Social Worker - Clinical Educator to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge through experience and education
Attend statewide meetings and engage in clinical education supervision
Support local participation in statewide education initiatives
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Tertiary degree in Social Work accredited by Australian Association of Social Workers
Australian Association of Social Workers membership
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Driver Licence
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Working with Children check (GCH will cover cost)
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
While not mandatory, a post qualification in Social Work or Education/Training would be highly regarded

Permanent part time (38 hrs p.f.)
Base salary ranging from $64.64 - $69.55 per hour

The Acute Hospital Social Work Service Stream, where this position is located, is active in student education and training, providing continuing professional education and training, clinical supervision, and research. The Acute Hospital Social Work Service actively encourages and supports the development of a range of social work clinical specialties such as child protection; women's, newborns and children; trauma, rehabilitation, aged care, disability, grief and bereavement, multicultural health, and domestic and family violence.
