The Opportunity
Were looking for someone who knows procurement inside out and enjoys being the person others turn to when things need to get done right. This is a permanent full-time role based in East Perth but every now and then youll head out to our Refinery site to stay connected with the teams on the ground. Its not a daily thing but being flexible and willing to jump in when needed is part of the gig.
Youll be working across different business units so no two days will look the same. One moment youre helping shape a tender the next youre reviewing supplier performance or guiding someone through our procurement platform. Youll be partnering with business owners to develop contracts from start to finish - making sure everything runs smoothly meets compliance standards and delivers real value.
This role isnt just about ticking boxes. Its about building relationships solving problems and helping the business make smart decisions. If you like variety enjoy working with different teams and want to be part of something thats always evolving youll fit right in.
About You
Youre someone who brings a calm head and a clear plan. Youve got a couple of years under your belt in procurement or contract management and youre comfortable juggling timelines stakeholders and the occasional curveball. If youve worked with WA procurement rules or in a government trading environment even better but its not a dealbreaker.
Ideally you have a procurement qualification under your belt or youre working towards one and while thats definitely a plus its not a must have. Youre the kind of person whos happy to help others learn whether its running a training session or just showing someone how to get the most out of the platform.
You care about doing things properly. Youre across the details but you dont get bogged down. You know how to keep things moving how to communicate clearly and how to bring people along with you. And when it comes to safety confidentiality and environmental impact - you take it seriously.
