**About the role**
Lismore Base Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Acute Pain team to coordinate and deliver high quality nursing care to patients/clients in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia's National Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses, criteria for CNS2 as outlined in the Public Hospital Nurses and Midwives (State) Award and the Policies and Procedures of the Ministry of Health (MoH) and Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD).
Working within a small multidisciplinary team, the CNS2 must demonstrate an understanding of current pain management modalities, ensure that appropriate nursing observations are being attended and all documentation is complete and accurate.
Providing education to patients, their families and nursing staff including, but not limited to; the pain modality in use, the pathophysiology of pain and the use of opioids.
