Position summary
The Administration Service Officer delivers high‐quality reception, clerical and administrative support to Country Health Connect – Limestone Coast. The role provides a welcoming and professional first point of contact for clients, visitors and stakeholders, managing enquiries, coordinating appointments and ensuring efficient office operations.
Responsibilities
* Accurate word processing and data entry; cash handling and EFTPOS processing.
* Meeting coordination and comprehensive administrative support to health professionals, programs and visiting clinicians across Mount Gambier, Millicent and Naracoorte sites.
* Provide reception service: respond to enquiries, direct clients, coordinate bookings and appointments, process EFTPOS and cash, support equipment hiring and return.
* Deliver clerical support: prepare correspondence, filing, photocopying, manage mail, support visiting clinicians with room and diary bookings, raise invoices, order stationery and assist with vehicle bookings and records.
* Actively support quality improvement by contributing ideas to improve administration processes, promote a healthy team environment, report hazards and incidents, and ensure efficient use of facilities, equipment and supplies.
Qualifications & Skills
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills; provide courteous, professional customer service in person and over the phone. Work effectively as part of a busy team.
* Accurate data entry and computer skills (including Microsoft Office); experience in reception or medical records; ability to prioritise work and manage fluctuating demands while maintaining confidentiality.
* Adaptable, customer‐focused administrator who can use initiative, handle sensitive or difficult situations with tact and empathy, and work respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal clients and communities.
