About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to support end to end payroll delivery across Australia, New Zealand and selected Asia markets during a fixed term period.
This role plays a critical hands on role during payroll stabilisation, supporting both BAU payroll delivery and the identification, diagnosis and resolution of payroll defects following a recent system implementation.
You'll work closely with Payroll, Payroll Systems, IT and Finance in a fast paced, high volume environment, particularly across weekly waged payrolls and EA/EBA conditions.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Support stabilisation of a recently implemented payroll system
* Identify, analyse and resolve recurring payroll defects and issues
* Conduct root cause analysis and reduce manual workarounds
* Partner with Payroll Systems, IT and vendors to test and validate fixes
* Document fixes, learnings and transition outcomes into BAU
BAU Payroll Delivery
* End to end processing of weekly wages and monthly salaried payrolls
* Administration of time & attendance, allowances, overtime and leave
* Ensure compliance with legislation, awards and EA/EBA requirements
* Validate and reconcile payroll results and resolve discrepancies
* Support payroll journals, accruals and reconciliations with Finance
Stakeholder Support
* Provide accurate, responsive payroll support to employees and managers
* Partner with HR and Finance to resolve payroll matters pragmatically
* Explain payroll outcomes clearly and professionally
* Operate calmly and discreetly in a high visibility environment
Systems
* SAP SuccessFactors Payroll / Employee Central Payroll
* Integrated payroll data flows between systems
What You'll Bring
* Proven hands on payroll experience across Australia & New Zealand
* Experience with weekly wages and salaried payrolls
* Strong exposure to EA/EBA and waged employee environments
* Payroll stabilisation, remediation or hypercare experience highly regarded
* Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements
* Experience with payroll reconciliations, accruals and journals
* High attention to detail, discretion and customer focus
* Experience with SAP Payroll and UKG/Kronos highly desirable
