As a Public Area Attendant / House Person, you are responsible for cleaning and maintaining all public areas to ensure they meet the hotel’s standards for cleanliness, presentation, and safety. You play an important role in creating a fresh, welcoming environment so guests can relax and enjoy their stay at our hotel. You will ensure all public spaces — including lobbies, corridors, lifts, restrooms, back-of-house areas and staff facilities — are consistently clean, well presented and fully stocked throughout the day. In this role, you will also support the Housekeeping team by assisting with room cleaning, priority and rush rooms, linen deliveries, and replenishing housekeeping supplies. You may be required to remove rubbish, handle lost property, move furniture or equipment, and assist colleagues where needed to ensure the overall cleanliness and presentation of the hotel meets Holiday Inn brand standards. You will also be available to assist with guest requests when required, helping to create a positive and memorable experience for all guests. What We Need From You Have good communication skills, housekeeping experience is preferred Have excellent attention to detail with a commitment to high standards Are physically mobile and able to carry, push or lift heavy objects such as linen, beds, bed sheets and vacuum cleaners and be able to frequently stand up and moving about the facility Have knowledge of safe working habits, chemical handling and hotel operations is also deemed desirable Have flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays across a seven day roster Applicants must have Australian working rights What you can expect from us: Join our extraordinary world and experience a place where you can be yourself, share your ideas, support your personal growth and wellbeing, and be a valued member of an inspirational team.
