Job Overview
* This is a leadership role in Paediatric Services, overseeing the delivery of care to inpatients and outpatients.
* The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating clinical, management, education and nursing research functions within Paediatric Services.
Key Responsibilities
* To provide leadership to inpatient and outpatient Paediatric Services, ensuring efficient and effective provision of care based on clinical standards and best practice principles.
* To coordinate the clinical, management, education and nursing research functions within Paediatric Services, promoting a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework.
* To lead and manage the coordination of overall patient care, responsible for managing allocated human, material and financial resources for service delivery within Paediatric Services.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Demonstrated advanced knowledge, skills and experience in Paediatric Services.
* Comprehensive knowledge of and experience in contemporary nursing management practice, including clinical governance; clinical risk management; evidenced-based practice; research; clinical standards; ethics; and legislation.
* Leadership skills – Individuals will demonstrate capability to promote a shared vision and purpose, positively influencing others (internally and externally) to ensure optimal client outcomes and build a culture of success, commitment and active contribution by all staff within the practice area.
