Job Summary:
We seek skilled diesel mechanics to join our team in Adelaide, where your expertise will help maintain a large fleet of Mack and Kenworth vehicles. Your role will involve diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults with precision.
This is a Monday to Friday position with occasional Saturday work as needed, plus a rotating on-call roster that includes an allowance.
* Conduct thorough assessments of mechanical issues, diagnose faults, and perform precise repairs on Mack and Kenworth trucks
* Service and maintain trucks, trailers, and dollies in accordance with workshop procedures
* Repair or replace brakes, suspension, steering systems, and major engine components with minimal downtime
* Perform welding and grinding tasks on chassis and comb rails of flat-top trailers
* Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues to optimize vehicle performance
* Source and install replacement parts in line with manufacturer specifications and quality standards
* Develop and update preventative maintenance schedules to ensure optimal vehicle performance
* Maintain accurate service and repair records in accordance with company procedures
* Comply with all safety protocols and promote a safe working environment for the team
