**About the role**:
We currently have an opportunity for a District Representative/Account Manager to join our **Nalco Water Mining/Heavy** team covering Perth and the southern region of WA. Reporting to the District/Area Manager, and based out of Kwinana, your technical and commercial activities will involve routine maintenance and servicing of our existing and potential new clients that includes heavy industrial and mine sites.

You will use your technical ability and consultative approach to build relationships with existing customers by executing system assurance programs that meet their key business needs. You will also convert strategic competitive accounts and sell new technologies to current customers.

Critical to the role will be your ability to travel with overnight stays.

Full and extensive technical and sales training will be provided.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Assisting in the servicing of our customers in the sector and supporting field trials of process reagents.
- Assisting with the troubleshooting of technical problems in a timely manner to ensure ongoing chemical treatment of process unit operations and water treatment facilities.
- Working with the direct assistance of our existing Account Managers to gain new business via focused planning, targeted prospecting, industry networking, and partnership with internal sales and support teams
- Developing strong client relationships by driving value added and focused service delivery.
- Managing customer inventories and product delivery
- Gaining a better understanding of our in-field process and water treatment services.

**By nature, you will ideally demonstrate**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with both internal & external customers
- Good mechanical aptitude, delivering a hands-on approach to service execution and adding value
- The ability to work independently and remotely
- A tremendous will to succeed and continue your learning & development
- High commitment to Safety, Environment, Occupational Health and Quality.

**Technically, you will preferably have**:

- Successful background in sales and/ or have mineral process operations or water treatment experience
- Excellent problem-solving aptitude and strong mechanical and technical problem-solving ability.
- A background in technical / mechanical reasoning
- A driver's license
