Sr. Specialist Solutions Architect, High Performance Computing and Machine Learning, AWS
As a Specialist Solutions Architect (SSA) in the AWS sales organization, you'll provide deep domain‐specific expertise to customers with complex HPC and machine‐learning challenges. You will craft scalable, resilient architectures, guide customers through refactors or new cloud‐based solutions, and represent AWS across the entire customer lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and architect customer HPC solutions using AWS services.
* Collaborate with AWS teams and partners to define engagement strategies for key accounts, especially in public‐sector and AI/ML/CAE/Weather domains.
* Lead thought leadership by publishing reference architectures, whitepapers, and internal trainings.
* Serve as a business‐development partner to ensure customer success in migration and application build on AWS.
* Assist solution providers with technical and business strategy implementation.
* Share best‐practice knowledge across the worldwide AWS solution‐architect community.
* Analyze and leverage AWS market segments and industry verticals.
* Utilize internal business‐support systems to drive outcomes.
Basic Qualifications
* 8+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, or networking.
* 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures.
* 10+ years of IT development or consulting in the software or Internet industries.
Preferred Qualifications
* Deep HPC experience for workloads in CAE, weather simulation, oil & gas, automotive/aerospace, financial services, or pharmaceuticals.
* Experience architecting HPC systems with orchestration schedulers (e.g., Slurm, Torque, Symphony, GridServer) and parallel file systems (Lustre, IBM Spectrum Scale).
* Experience deploying, tuning, benchmarking, and managing HPC technologies in multi‐user environments.
* Deep GPU knowledge relevant to HPC or AI/ML frameworks.
